Early Morning Water Rescue

June 30, 2011 -03:50 - Kent dispatched Station 7, Station 8, Station 5 and Kent County Dive Team for a watercraft in distress. Dispatch received a call from the U.S. Coast Guard advising that a 50 foot sailboat with 6 people on board was taking on water 3 miles west of Rock Hall in the Chesapeake Bay. Trooper 1 and Trooper 6 were dispatched to search the area and located the vessel. Boat 7 arrived on the scene and assisted the Coast Guard on bringing the victims to shore. Anne Arundel County fire boats were also on scene to assist. Chief 7 (J. Toulson) had command.

Motorcycle Accident in the 70-1

June 29, 2011 -13:02 - Kent dispatched Station 7 for an MVC involving a motorcycle in the area of Rock Hall Ave. in front of Shore Stop. Paramedic 1-7 arrived to find one patient laying in the roadway. The patient refused transport to the hosptial. Deputy Chief 7 (T. White) had Rock Hall Ave. Command. Station 7 units cleared the scene at 1317hrs with a total of 10 personnel on the call.

Shed Fire On Eastern Neck Road

June 28, 2011 -19:34 - Kent dispatched Station 7 for a small outside fire at 5496 Eastern Neck Rd. Engine 72 arrived to find a small shed fully involved. The box was held to Station 7 units and the fire was put under control at 1944hrs. Deputy Chief 7 (T. White) had Eastern Neck Rd. Command. Units cleared the scene at 2027hrs with a total of 11 personnel on the call.

RHVFC Receives Fire Prevention Grant

May 31, 2011 -18:30 - Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company is proud to announce that we will receiving the Maryland State Fireman's Association (MSFA) Fire Prevention Grant. This $500 grant will be presented to the company at the Ocean City Fireman's Convention. Congratulations to all the members of RHVFC for all of your hard work and dedication!



Rollover and Entrapment in the 70-6

May 18, 2011 -14:25 - Kent dispatched Rock Hall, Chestertown and Kent EMS for the Motor Vehicle Collision with Rollover and Entrapment in the area of Ricauds Branch Rd and Sandy Bottom Rd. Chief 8 (POV) arrived just east of Sandy Bottom Rd on Ricauds Branch Rd with one vehicle on its side and one trapped. Rescue Pumper 7 arrived and removed the patient from the vehicle. Aviation was requested however due to weather all helicopters were grounded. Paramedic 7 transported the patient to Chester River Hospital Center. Deputy Chief 7 (T. White) had Ricauds Branch Rd Command. Units cleared at 1546hrs with a total of 12 personnel on the call.

One Flown to Trauma Center

May 01, 2011 -00:20 - Kent Dispatched Rock Hall and Kent EMS for the Fall at 20950 Rock Hall Ave. (The Inn at Swan Haven). Ambulance 7 arrived to find a 38 year old male that fell from a deck and requested Maryland State Police Aviation for a Category B Priority 1 Trauma. Rescue Pumper 7 made the response to cover the landing zone for the Helicopter at Station 7. Units cleared at 0108hrs with a total of 12 personnel on the call.

Structure Fire in the 70-1

March 22, 2011 -19:17 - Kent Dispatched Rock Hall, Chestertown, Betterton and Kent EMS for the Structure Fire with Rescue at 5835 Locust St. While units were en route Rock Hall Police was on the scene advising Heavy Fire Showing with an Explosion and Exposure issues on the Delta Side. Engine 72 was next to arrive and Laid 4" from Wilkins Ave and advised a Single Story Single Family Dwelling Heavy Fire and Smoke Showing with and all clear in the Residence. Crews from Chestertown arrived and assisted in fire attack and overhaul. Rock Hall units cleared at 2310hrs with a total of 27 personnel on the call. Deputy Chief 7 (T. White) had Locust St. Command.
